- Built in the 1890's on a piece of ground provided by Sandown Park Racing Club, for which the Brigade paid a rent of one shilling a year. In 1930 the engine was moved to a new station by the side of the council offices in Portsmouth Road, and the old premises were adapted as a private dwelling.
